There’s just one thing you have to do right now… stay calm.
There is a whole lot of uncertainty surrounding us today and, possibly the most worrying part of all of it is that we don’t have an end date of when everything will be back to normal.
People are panicking, hoarding, getting aggressive and acting in ways that we would never have imagined. How can we have gone from the caring, community-minded people that we saw during the bushfires to this selfish, desperate, mean spirited people that we’re seeing today? It just doesn’t make sense.
We’re talking about job losses, stock market crashes, recessions and all those things that we fear so much, so how can we not be consumed by it?
It’s not easy – but the answer is to not panic. Keep breathing. Keep your focus on your goal, your plan, your job or business, and most importantly, your family and those you love.
Take care of each other. You may have had to cancel your holiday plans, but if you’ve got plans to buy a home or investment property, stick with your plans. You might need to change your timing and keep an extra close eye on the market you’re looking at, but don’t let this derail you. Opportunities may present themselves and if you’re in the right place, at the right time, you could be the one who gains from that opportunity.
Stay calm, keep working your plan and keep your focus on your goal.
